How to make money posting? Make Money in our Forum!

Table of Contents:

How does this work?
We have setup a system so that all ad revenue on posts you start will be shared!

This forum displays Google Adsense in the header above all threads. The site uses Google Adsense which automatically gives ads that are relevant to the content on the ad page. Google pays AdSense publishers (US) on a per click basis as well as per impression. The amount paid per click is not released by Google, but I can tell you that the sports betting industry is very competitive and some terms fetch upwards of $28-$30 from Google. Google pays you a percentage of that if it is clicked, If you assume 10% commision that would be $2-$3 per click.

There are sources out there that tell you the highest keywords that Google charges companies to build ads on. This is useful because if you post in the forum about this topic and use the keyword over without sounding like you are spamming you will have great results. If you Google something like most expensive keywords I'm sure you can find lists that will show you the most competitive keywords.

If a user has an AdSense account, they have the ability to credit their account with the ads served on threads they start.

Are there restrictions?

Postby Freddy Wills » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:14 pm

  • You must have an AdSense account through Google. What is Google Adsense? Signing up for a Google Adsense account is very easy and free. Sign up now.

  • You must have at least 15 total posts within the forum to participate (once you reach that level, the ads displayed from that point forward are retroactively applied to all the threads you started or participated in).

  • For threads you start, your AdSense client ID will be used 50% of the time when the thread is viewed as a thread.

Why are we doing this?

Postby Freddy Wills » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:17 pm

This is quite simple actually. We are doing this because a forum is pointless unless people are posting unique content. Since I am running a site here where we are dedicated to catering to our customers I thought what better way than to share some of our revenue with you guys.

Is this allowed by Google?

Postby Freddy Wills » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:20 pm

I have gone over the AdSense terms and conditions a few times (both the Overview and the legal version), and I'm not able to find anything to suggest that it's not allowed. But if you know (or believe) otherwise, I would like to hear from you.

How do I set this up?

Postby Freddy Wills » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:39 pm

Once you have 15 posts in our forum you will want to click on User Control Panel (image below).

From there you will want to click on the Profile tab and at the bottom you will see where you can enter your Adsense info (image below). Please note you won't see this until you hit the minimum number of posts which is 15 to be eligible for this program. Once eligible all of your posts will be retroactive so that if you have a popular post your adsense ads will be shown 50% of the time.

Where do I find my Publisher Id?

To find your unique AdSense publisher ID number, sign in to your AdSense account at. You'll see your publisher ID number displayed above the help search box in the top corner of your account.

Alternatively, you can find your publisher ID number within your AdSense code. Just locate the AdSense code in the HTML source code of your website, and you'll spot your publisher ID in a line like the one shown below:

How long wil you be doing this?

Postby Freddy Wills » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:56 pm

There is nothing that I can see that will stop us from running this forever! What this means is the more useful content you make on the site the more it will be picked up by Google and other search engines where you will have people coming and clicking links and joining and participating.

Haven't you ever done a search through Google and you were re-directed to a forum that had the answer? That is exactly what we want to achieve through this as well as a more involved community.

I don't see my Client ID in the source code?

Postby Freddy Wills » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:57 pm

The system will never display your own AdSense Client ID to you (as long as you are logged in).

This is to prevent people from unknowingly violating the Adsense terms and conditions (specifically the part about clicking your own ads).
