With Matt Cain sent to the DL for 15 days with elbow soreness, Yes Petit steps in from the pen for a spot start. His numbers are suspect at first glance but he's been in this spot before and for the most part responded. He is what he is and he's going to give you five or six innings at best and give up three runs. He won't be facing the most daunting lineup in the majors so he should be ok. Roberto Hernandez also "is what he is",  a mediocre 4/5 starter on a bad team. He's 1-5 at home with a very respectable 3.15 ERA. Both teams somewhat broke out last night but will bet on a return to the status quo here and play the under.
