It will be the third time they see Ricky Romero and how hard is it for any pitcher to throw three quality starts against the Yankees? Romero had two performances of 6IP or more allowing 3 ER in each, but I fear it will be worse for him here today. Romero in his last 2 home starts has allowed 21 runners in 9.2 IP with 7 ER. Now he faces the best offense and hottest team who did travel last night, but traveling on the first night is extremely over rated as it's the second day that teams usually struggle. The Yankees are 35-16 in their last 51 vs. LH starter including 5-0 in their last 5 and they are 13-3 in their last 16 road games. Yankees are hitting .285 and scoring 7.39 runs per 9 innings vs. LHP in their last 10 games with a 2.64 bullpen ERA making it hard to make any sort of come back. Yankees away hit lefties much better than they do righties. They are +0.16 in average and +1.19 runs per 9 innings. Yankees are 9-2 in their last 11 meetings with the Jays and are 21-5 in their last 26 vs. AL East.

Gaudin goes for the Yankees in his second start as a Yankee. In his first he went 4.1 IP gave up 0 ER and 1H. I expect him to pitch well enough to keep the Yankees in this one as he has some impressive starts this year. The Blue Jays are struggling with the bats hitting just .199 and scoring 3.69 runs per 9 innings they are going to need many more runs than that to stick with this Yankee offense.
