**3.5 Dime NCAAB POD Runner up ~Big 12 Game of the night 9pm

Postby Pick Bot » Wed Feb 17, 2010 10:06 pm

Tonight I have two big plays the first one starting at 7pm and it will be my POD, and then this play at 9pm which will be featured on ESPN. A match up between Missouri and Texas. This play is guaranteed or you will get 1 day NCAAB FREE!

Take Missouri -2 @ BODOG (3.5 Dime POD)
I can't believe I like another play better than this tonight, but I do.

Tonight I am all over Missouri as I believe they are the better team especially at home. These two have been identical in conference play both sit at 6-4 with losses to 3 out of the 4 same teams. Texas has struggled when playing teams that can score like they can as 3 of their 4 conference losses have come to 3 of the top 5 scoring teams in the Big 12. Considering they are one of the top 5 scoring teams the only other team would be Missouri whot hey play on the road tonight.

The biggest advantage Texas has in this match up is Pittman, but he only averages 19.6min per game and I don't think he'll be able to play a lot tonight judging by the speed of this game. Missouri is #1 in the conference in steals per game by far and they average 12.6 at home which gives them a +7.3 TO margin. Texas is prone to the turnover at times. Missouri also plays excellent defense at home which is why they are 15-1 at home this season. They give up just 38.3% from the field and 26.4% from the perimeter two key things when you want to stop Texas.

Texas can win this game if they can make their FTs but that's not something they have been able to do as they are shooting just 57.7% on the season on the road and it's a big reason why they are just 4-3 with conference losses at Oklahoma and Kansas State. Their defense also has not been the greatest and that's going to be the reason why they lose tonight. It's not so much the % from the field that's bad, but anytime a team gives up points in transition on layups they are going to struggle against a team like Missouri. Now if Uconn a sub par offensive team can put up 88 points on this team and I watched that game well then I can't take Texas seriously.
