Another dog winner here I believe. Northern Iowa does not have much to play for but pride of going undefeated at home. They will have to do it without their talented center in Jordan Eglsede who is suspended for driving under the influence. The 7 foot center is a huge part of this teams success and it's a big loss for them against an Old Dominion team that has four players averaging 4+ rebounds and a team that plays fantastic defense even on the road. On the road they are +5 rebound margin and +3.3 offensive rebounds. That will play a huge factor in tonights game as Northern Iowa will have trouble with a more athletic team. The road stats are legit for Old Dominion as they have improved all season long and the competition on the road is there from wins @ Georgetown and games at Richmond, Dayton, George Mason, VCU and Northeastern. I'm not impressed by the home schedule that has gotten Northern Iowa here. Their best win was against Wichita State by just 3 points, and they blew Siena out of the building but lets be honest Siena comes from the MAAC which is far lesser than the Colonial conference that Old Dominion comes from that features 4 top 100 RPI teams.

For those who don't know much about these teams and are looking to watch this will be a good one. ODU needs this game for a guaranteed spot in the NCAA tournament in case they don't win their conference championship. I believe they will get it done tonight. If you must remember a name remember Gerald Lee the forward from Old Dominion averages 14ppg in a balanced offense. He could go off at any time as he's averaging 52.6% from the field this season. Again I like the chances in this one for Old Dominion who is catching Northern Iowa at the right time with them clinching the conference already and with Eglsede out.
