Tulsa and Marshall played in two close games with each team taking their home game the stats are pretty close with Marshall shooting 41.6% from the field and Tulsa coming in at 39.8%. The difference between the two are Marshall with 39.1% from the perimeter compared to Tulsa at 29.4%. Tulsa a much better FT shooting team needs to get to the line tonight and despite being -6 FTA in the two game series they got there 31 times in the first match up at home. The reason I mention that is this game will be in a "like home atmosphere." as the Conference USA tournament is being played in Tulsa. Tulsa played here last night and already knows what to expect. That's why I give them the edge here tonight because they'll be a little more fresh while I think Marshall might come in a little rusty.

In the two match ups Tulsa really dominated the paint with +14 rebounds and +7 offensive rebounds. No they come in with revenge in this situation I really like them playing a building they are familiar with. Add in that 33% of the public is on them and they opened up at +1 and have since moved to -1 and -1.5. Why is that against a team with a better record and a bye in this tournament as a higher seed. Why would the higher seed be under dogs in the match up?

I think we get a lucky line here as Notre Dame beat Pitt just a few weeks ago at home by 15. If you remember that game it was a game Notre Dame badly needed to stay in contention. Now they are likely in the NCAA tournament if you ask me. I'll name four things that were out of the ordinary for a Pitt team that won't happen again. They were -10 rebounds they are +1.5 on the season in conference compared to Notre Dame's +.5. They got to the FT line -11 times, and in conference they are +3 while Notre Dame is -.9. They gave up 50% shooting from the field and in conference they allow 41.8% and Notre Dame shoots 45.1. They also gave up 10-18 from three point land, and Pitt is only allowing 33% from the perimeter. Notre Dame coming off 0 days rest will give them some heavier legs in the 2nd half look for them not to be able to shoot the trey then so it's important for Pitt to get out to an early lead.
