You wouldn't know it but Ben Sheets has been his old self. Sheets has really had quality starts each time out with the exception of his two road starts both on turf @ Toronto and @ TB. These two starts have balooned his ERA with 17 ER. His ERA on turf this year is over 20. However, look at his stats on grass, a 2.63 ERA. He's just in a groove right now with a 2.52 ERA over his last 4 starts since his last start on turf. Some times it's in a pitchers head. However, TB and Toronto both beast some impressive line ups. The Tigers have yet to see Sheets this year and their best hitter MIguel Cabrera carries a .167 average from his days in the National League.

Dontrelle Willis goes tonight and it's a different story for Dontrelle with a 7.07 ERA in his last 3 and a 5.02 ERA at home. There were some bright spots for him in spring training, but none of them really carried over and the A's are hitting .318 with 7.25 runs per 9 in their last 5 vs. LHP, 4.99 r/9 in their last 10. I really think they take advantage here tonight of Dontrelle Willis. A's are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. LH starter while the Tigers are 4-9 in Willis' last 13 following a team win.
