Reds -127 (4.5* MLB POD)
I think the Reds stay hot to defeat the Diamondbacks, a team not known for its road success.  The Diamondbacks have been struggling too much of late to score runs and facing Bronson Arroyo who hold a 2.45 ERA over his last 4 vs. Arizona shouldn’t help.  Justin Upton was hitless over the weekend and has a .143 average vs. Arroyo.  I believe the trade rumors might be getting to him at this point.  Arizona is a team that hits well at home and hits lefties much better than righties.  The Reds are pretty much the same when it comes to that and that’s why I’m backing them as they face a LHP in Miley who just went to the All Star game and is coming off two poor starts before posting a 10.45 ERA.  He throws 87% of his pitches as a fast ball or slider so he’s pretty easy to figure out if you are facing him for the first time which the Reds are.

Arroyo should be due for a solid start he’s posted a 2.86 ERA during night starts this year as he has full command over all 5 of his pitches that he evenly distributes.  It’s not wonder the Diamondbacks have had issues against him.  I expect Arizona once again to struggle to score and the Reds dominant bullpen to take it from there.  Brandon Phillips and Joey Votto have been red hot of late and that continues as the Reds are 23-7 in their last 30 as a home favorite -110 to -150.  While AZ has dropped 9 of their last 12 overall.  Cinci is coring +2.44 runs per 9 vs. LHP at home compared to the Diamondbacks road vs. RHP.
