Davis has been up and down, but he's pitched two decent outings giving his team a chance to win in his last two games. Now he'll face the Padres who have struggled at times, but have been hot. I believe Davis will use that extra motivation of facing a team that is not as good as some of the AL teams he must face to shut them down. Latos goes for the Padres and he's been good all year, but this is a different monster going up against the Rays at home where they are 24-9 in their last 33 games vs. a starter with a WHIP below 1.15.

Rays have a .282 average at home vs. RHP with 5.31 runs per 9. Both bullpens are solid, but I think the Rays get the runs off Latos to win this game at home.

Mets have great value here at home though it will be the first time they have ever faced Justin Verlander. This team has fast ball hitters up and down the line up and I expect a ball or two to go out for home runs for the Mets. They are 22-6 in their last 28 home games and John Niese has been incredible with a 2.65 ERA at home including a 1.57 ERA in his last three starts. Verlander hasn't always pitched well on the road and the Mets are hot with the bats right now and can get the job done in my opinion.
