John Danks has been good all year and has had success in the past against the Twins, while Kevin Slowey has struggled for most of the year with the exception of pitching at home where he has an ERA in the 3’s.  Although he’s pitching at home here today I’m not sold on him as against the White Sox as they have a combined .299 average with .719 OPS against him.  The White Sox also are scorching at the plate since the All Star game so that’s another reason to back the White Sox who have been on fire.

This is a pitching mismatch as Joel Pineiro has a 2.22 ERA in his home starts and the Mariners have struggled as of late and on the season on the road vs. RHP they are just 14-40 in their last 54 as under dogs on the road.  Fister who through 7 IP and 3 ER the first time against the Angels should have more difficult time on the road.
