Middle Tenn has a great pass rush that will be the difference in this game.  They had 33 sacks and 85 tackles for loss on the year they can do it with a 4 man rush which is why they are ranked 20th vs. the pass and that’s a bad match up for Miami Ohio who just can’t run the ball 113th on the year.  Miami Ohio is tough and stingy on defense and that’s how they got to this point, but the Sun Belt is already 2-0 in bowl games with Troy and Florida International winning.  Troy actually blasted a MAC foe in Ohio and Flint took care of another MAC foe themselves so I’m confident it will be a 3-0 showing of a stronger conference.
 
MTSU was the favorite to win their conference and they showed why down the stretch.  Turnovers were a problem when Dasher first got back from his suspension, but down the stretch those were not an issue with 0 fumbles and 2 INT in the last three games all wins.  Dwight Dasher dominated in last year’s bowl shocker and in his last game look for him to do the same with help from Phillip Tanner.  Miami’s head coach also won’t be at this game as he took the Pitt job so don’t be shocked if that plays a part here as it has with other teams.
