Can’t help I have to buy off the key number despite my confidence the Packers will roll here by a TD. The only way the Packers don’t win this game is if they are kicking the ball to Devin Hester and they showed in week #17 that they can keep the ball out of his hands. Their kick to Eric Weems last week got them thinking about Hester this week and I think a game plan to kick away exists. Next thing you have to talk about is the field conditions. This favors the offense because they have the ball and they are making the moves before the defenders. The only way it doesn’t favor an offense is when that offense plays conservative because of the field conditions. Edge goes to the Packers there as well. It also favors the Packers pass rush because they bring corners and linebackers in various formations while the Bears are a simple 4 or 3 man rush out of the cover 2. I think the Bears are going to have a hard time as Aaron Rodgers has shown he can beat you if you drop back in zone and he can beat you if you blitz him. He’s deadly navigating the pocket on a blitz or regular 4 man rush. Peppers will have to beat his man (Pro Bowler Chad Clifton) at the point of attack for the Bears to have a chance at stopping the Packers lethal passing game. Now I’m not going to say the Bears can’t win. After all they are home with the #2 defense, but they are #20 against the pass and Jay Cutler has not been a star. In fact they started winning games when he went down with an injury so I expect a lot of hand offs until the Packers get up 7 or 14-0. That could turn into a real mess if the Packers get up because if Cutler has to play from behind he’s going to try to win the game and Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams are as solid of corners on the outside as you get. Packers have the better defense here in my opinion and they’ll prove that on Sunday. Packers could have easily gone 2-0. They were up late in the 4th quarter driving when they fumbled the ball with 2:21 on the clock the Bears came back and won 20-17. The Packers haven’t forgotten about that.
