I'll take 8.5 runs in this match up of Zito vs. Marquis. Both going up against offenses that have not produced as of late and also who have success against opposing hitters.

Zito will go up against the Rockies who have scored a total of 3 runs in their last three games and I don't see them getting it back all of a sudden against the Giants and Zito. Rockies have struggled against LHP and are 2-6 in their last 8 vs. LH starter. Rockies have a collective .174 avg against Zito and the only hitter over .300 is Todd Helton with a 5-16 history. Colorado has a .210 averag on the road this year including scoring just 3.25 R/9 all vs. LHP. It gets worse as of late with .195 & 2.22 R/9 L5 and .194 & 2.61 R/9 L10. Zito has pitching his best right now with a 1.59 ERA in his last 3 and all those games came on the road. Count his previous 3 starts before that which were all at home and he has a 2.61 ERA. His line against the Rockies this year 13IP 8K's 5 H 0 ER. Giants are under 12-2 in Zito's last 14 Saturday starts.

Marquis goes for the Rockies and they are going to need a great performance from him if the Rockies want to win much like last night which they got from Jimenez but Lincecum was just lights out. Marquis has a 2.14 ERA in his last three starts and he owns a 3.35 ERA on the road this year. This will be his 4th start vs. the Giants he had one bad start, but the other two starts were dominant and based on how the Giants are hitting right now I say they will be like his CG 5H 1 ER performance here in San Fran this season. After all the Giants have scored a total of 6 runs in their last three games and are hitting just .227 and scoring just 2.87 r/9 in their last 5 vs. RHP. Rockeis are also under 5-1 in Marquis' last 6 Saturday starts.
