3.5 Dime NCAAB POD **5-2 This Year on NCAAB POD 7:30pm start

5-2 on College Basketball POD's yesterday's loss was a tough one as we lost with Virginia +3.5 and they lost by 5. It was a game back and forth that could have gone either way, but in the end they shot 14-24 from the FT line and 4-18 from three point land. To only lose by three was actually quite an accomplishment, but bad news for bettors. Tonight I don't see this issue coming into play as I love the match up and it's a 3.5 Dime POD guaranteed or Thursday's NCAAB POD is free!

Take Western Carolina +2 (3.5 dime NCAAB POD)
I'm taking Western Carolina in this spot as they will be going up the Dukes of Duquesne and they will have a major advantage in this one. Both teams played the same two teams in their last 2 games and in the last 2 days. Both came up with wins, but there were several differences that I'd like to point out. Duquesne lost by 3 in OT to Division II Arkansas-Monticello, While W. Carolina beat them 70-44. I'm not a victim of falling into the trap of a team can beat this team they can beat that team. Some times it's match ups and some times shots just fall.

However, the reason I like this match up is because the 5 starters for the Dukes have been playing a lot in back to back nights and the bench is extremely thin for them. Saunders played 73 of 85 minutes last two games, Clark 80 of 85 minutes, Duty 35 and 17 for 52 of 85, and Monteiro 60 of 85. Before that it was 35, 36, 36, 39, and 27 for their previous game. Their legs are going be tired particularly in the 2H here tonight and I actually liked this Western Carolina team before two days ago. They return 5 seniors to a team that is one of the better North Division teams of the Southern Conference.

Western Carolina has a bit of an advantage down low with a front line averaging 6'7 and the Dukes have just one guy over 6'5 in Damian Saunders 6'7. Western Carolina at home this year has a 36-22 rebound advantage and Duquesne was out rebounded by Division II Arkansas-Monticello.
