I like the Cardinals and Brad Penny. Penny is another project for Dave Duncan to turn into gold. So far so good as Penny had a great first outing. Now Penny will go up against a Houston lineup that is hitting just .211 vs. RHP and struggling going 8-24 in their last 32 vs. RH starters. 80% of Cardinal wins this year have been by 1+ and 6 of 7 of the Astros losses have been by 1+ run. Tonight the same happens with Brett Myers on the mound.

Myers has gotten taken to pieces against the Cardinals lineup including a .353 average. He's given up 5, 2, 6, and 6 ER in his last 4 starts all at Busch Stadium ironically. He's backed by a bullpen that is pitching awful with a 6.23 ERA so the runs may pile on when he leaves the game.
