Both teams just don't have the offense to score on each other here today. They both average less runs during their day play than they score during their night games.

Matt Cain with an impressive 2.53 away ERA and even more has a 1.76 Day ERA. He will face a lineup here that is hitting .186 over their last 5 vs. RHP and .188 over their last 10. SF's bullpen also pitching well in relief with a 2.97ERA over their last 10 games. You would like the Giants hearing those number right? The public sure does 56% of them do at -113 and the line has dropped to -107 and I'll tell you why.

First the Giants have not had much success in Pittsburgh as of late. Second Pit's ace Zach Duke will go on Sunday where he has a 2.77ERA at home. He'll face a Giants lineup that has struggled all year long against LHP on the road. Giants are hitting just .215 on the road vs. LHP this year with 3.75 runs per 9. In their last 5 games it has gotten worse with .148avg vs. LHP. The Pirates bullpen is there to back them up here.

The trends- These are just a few that support the under and I found many more, but these are the ones I like. Giants are under 17-5-2 in their last 24 road games vs. LH starter. Naturally like I mentioned before they just have struggled vs. lefties particularly on the road. Pirates are under 10-1 in their last 11 as a home under dog. Today they face one of the NL's best in a day start where Cain has dominated this year during hte day 4-1 with a 1.76 day ERA. To me the game is a toss up, but the under is where the money is to be made!
