UC Davis couldn't beat a worse Sac St team last year how are they going to do it this year? There was a lot of controversy in the off season and despite head coach Gary Stewart's positive vibe something isn't right. When 8 players reportedly petitioned in the off season to have him fired and 5 others leave the program that's never a good thing. It's early and I don't think UC Davis will see the benefits of a good recruiting class for some time.

Sac State meanwhile has their best roster ever led by Senior point guard Toles Bey who shoots 87% from the FT line. I like the improvements of the team and they are good on defense. They should take advantage of UC Davis bad defense here tonight as they are already giving up 50%+ shooting to opponents.
