Today's POD is on the Marlins in a similar situation that we had last week in the same pitching mismatch. At the time I took the Marlins at home on the run line and they lost the game despite beating up Norris pretty bad. Unfortunately Nolasco was that much worse, but I see him bouncing back nicely in this spot with revenge on his mind.

Nolasco has pitched significantly better in his second time around vs. several teams this year Cubs, Nats, and Pirates to name a few. This time he is on 5 days rest which the Marlins are 12-2 in their last 14 times Nolasco is on 5 days rest. Nolasco has been hit or miss on the road with a few really bad starts, but in his last 2 road starts he has been fantastic going 13.1 IP giving up 2 ER and striking out 17 against the Phillies and Padres. He will again go up again Bud Norris.

Norris as I mentioned last time he is not really a starting pitcher which usually leads to the bullpen really fast. He went 5.1 IP and gave up 10H against the Marlins in his last start. A young pitcher making back to back starts against a solid team is not looking good in my eyes. Expect the Marlins to take advantage here and get the runs they need to back up Nolasco who will most likely bring his A game as he was embarrassed the last time these two teams met. As I mentioned Norris leading into the Astros bullpen which is not going to be a good thing as they have a 5.97 ERA in the last 10 games.
