I look for the Rays to rebound from their 11 game losing streak here tonight against the Orioles. The Rays just hit a rough patch where the team went into a hole against the leagues best teams. They played Yankees, Tigers, Red Sox in the midst of this 11 game losing streak. Along with that they lost their leading HR hitter in Carlos Pena, but here tonight they face a team in the Orioles that is just not at the level the Rays are and I believe the Rays get back on track against David Hernandez and this is the reason why I am picking the Rays to come back from this awful losing streak.

Hernandez has just been awful as he's allowed 7 HR in his last two starts and has given up a HR (15 total) in eight straight starts. The Rays should continue this streak as they are #5 in the bigs in HR this year! Hernandez has also struggled with his control giving up 18 BB in his last 5 starts. During his night starts he has given up 18HR in just 60.1 IP while allowing 64H and 33BB on 44K's. If you can't strike guys out you aren't going to have success against the Rays. Although the Rays have struggled with the bats as of late this is a perfect opportunity for them to get back on track. Behind Hernandez is a struggling bullpen just waiting. Baltimore's Bullpen has ERAs of 14.07 Last 3, 9.37 Last 5, 8.71 Last 10. The Orioles will go up against David Price who has started to pitch well on the road.

Price off two quality starts on the road against the Yankees and Tigers going 13.1 IP giving up 8 hits, 3 ER, 10K's and 3 BB's. Baltimore does not hit lefties as well at home as they do righties. In fact they score 1.05 runs per 9 innings less vs. LHP at home than RHP. Rays are 6-2 in their last 8 starts with Price vs. AL East and 4-1 in his last 5 vs. a losing team. While the O's are 0-7 in Hernandez last 7 as a dog, and the Rays own the series 25-9 Last 34 and 8-3 Last 11 in Baltimore!
