I'm going with the Blazers in this spot as they did not play yesterday and they should be well prepared for a Nuggets team that played late into the night last night and then had to travel to Portland late last night. I'm not sure if their flight was delayed I don't think it was, but it was snowing heavily in Denver last night.

Portland was impressive at home last year going 34-7 and 26-14 ATS and I think they get better this year. While the ATS record might go down because Vegas is expecting more from this team I still think overall there is value early. Their defense is better with Oden in the middle expected to play much more. In the first game he had 5 blocks and 12 rebounds in a game where the Blazers held the Rockets to 37% shooting. The game was much worse than the final score indicated as Houston out scored Portland 31-21 in the 4th quarter to win 96-87. Blazers also out rebounded the Rockets 51-33 and that will be the key here tonight against Denver a very good rebounding team. However, back to back games and traveling late last night after a close game that was a lot of running around just ask Ty Lawson who was superb off the bench, but really made the offense run. This could slow them down for game 2 this year.

Nuggets were just 20-20 ATS on the road last year and in their two meetings in Portland they were 0-2 ATS losing by 9 and 28 points. This is a tough back to back division schedule and the Nuggets come up short.
