I'm going with the Warriors here as our 3.5 Dime NBA POD. The Warriors are coming off their worst home defeat in three years to the Lakers in a 97-130 game and they're favorites against a team they already lost to by 14 this year? Wait a second what is going on? Well revenge is the ultimate motivator and the Warriors should be motivated by revenge in this match up. It's not easy and very easy to come out flat when you travel west after the holidays. Pacers who played behind Danny Granger's 31 points and 15 rebounds the last time these two met is just coming off his knee injury and he's still not 100% which was the case with his 5-16 shooting in his last game. Granger has killed the Warriors and the Warriors should be very confident with Granger not really being able to take a game over right now. Monta Ellis before the blowout to the Lakers was averaging 37.7 ppg and shooting 53.7 FG% in his previous three games. I'll look for him to have a huge game as he had just 16 points 9 rebounds in the first match up. What else changed from the first game was Warriors were in shambles and Stephen Jackson who has since been traded was tearing this team down. Now without him they have played much better behind Ellis and now they get a game they can win! The key to the game is rebounds, Warriors just basically gave up on the road and they were out manned down low 57-42. They were only out rebounded 46-49 against the lakers which means to me they are playing a lot better. They also were -11 in FT attempts something that always happens when you are on the road. They did however force more TO's and are +3.5 on turnovers at home while the Pacers are -3.5. Look for the Warriors to come out and look a lot better than they did against the Lakers the best in the west.
