Take Cleveland -9.5 (3.5 Dime OE Play) + Memphis -2 (2.5 Dime OE play)
First Cleveland who are losers of back to back road games now go home to face a short handed Blazers team that is playing their 3rd road game in 4 nights and tomorrow will mark 4 in 5 days so how energetic are they going to be here? Cavs are fired up on Fridays going 19-7 ATS in their last 26 Friday night's. In The Cavs last three home games they have won by (11,17,16) an average of 14.67. While the Blazers last 3 road games vs. Knicks, Jazz, Warriors (9,16,14) have come by 13 points. Cleveland outscored this team in the last meeting at home int he paint 42-22 and dominated, by turning the ball over just 2 times. Problem for Cleveland was they shot just 43% from the field while they average 49.5% from the field on the season at home, and well that's not a surprise as Portland is a good defensive team as they were #1 earlier in the season now #2 in FG% defense. However, the weakened lineup is taking it's tolls on the defense. Without Fernandez, Oden, and Outlaw they are struggling now giving up 47.6% from the field in their last 5 games. Cleveland also solid on defense is giving up 40.9% from the field over their last 5 games. So I expect them to come out and really take it to the Blazers here tonight who may be riding high after a victory over the Pacers, but lets get real we see how the Pacers are without Granger, no scoring. I think the Cavs win by double digits. I don't normally take this many points but tonight I can't help it.
Take Memphis -2
2nd game bonus here as I'm very confident in the Grizzlies here on Friday night. With the public on the Thunder the Grizzlies have gone up from -1 favorites to -2.5 and -2 in some places. A full point jump and I'm convinced they'll win here tonight. Teh favorite is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings here and Memphis is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Fridays. memphis is coming off impressive back to back wins @ home against the Cavs and the Mavericks.
Memphis has talent and their starters play a good bulk of the minutes which means they aren't so good on short rest but when they get plenty of rest I like backing them as they are on 2 days rest no road trip this might be an optimal situation for them especially coming with revenge against the Thunder as the Thunder won last year as dogs in Memphis. OJ Mayo, and Conley are forming a nice backcourt to go along with the solid front of Rudy Gay, Zac Randolph, and Marc Gasol. It really is a solid front and we have seen the Thunder struggle with strong fronts most notably the Celtics, and the Rockets. While the Celtics and Rockets are much better I don't view the Grizzlies as far off from what the Rockets are and it should be proven by the way the Grizz have played at home in their last two basically even in rebounds against the Cavs and Mavericks.
