Last night's 1 point loss on Wisconsin in college basketball was disappointing but it was not a POD, and today we come back with a gold program pick with one of our largest NCAAB POD's of the young season, a 4-Dime selection. We are 14-8 ATS this season on NCAAB POD and we look to go 15-8 after today's 6pm pick. Don't miss out it's guaranteed or 2 days NCAAB FREE!

Elon Phoenix -1.5 (4-Dime POD)
Lots to cover here. First of all it's a conference game where Elon is the home team a place they haven't played in a while and should be pumped up for. Why are they small favorites well Furman got off to a nice start and comes in with 4 more wins while Elon has been bad at times.

However, the strength of schedule has been miles apart. The opponents win % that Furman has faced is .200 compared to Elon who has faced .727. Strength of schedule is more than 300 points apart the highest I have seen this season since I've been looking at these games. Two of Elon's wins have come against teams much higher in the RPI rankings with Chat, and Lipscomb more than 100 points better than Furman who comes in at 332. Despite winning just 3 games Elon is ranked #97 and that's due to their strength of schedule thus far.

Elon has actually been quite competitive in some of their tougher games including Navy, and Ohio recently. Ohio has a #43 RPI and although Elon lost by 12 it was a close game throughout. Elon has beaten Furman the last 4 times and I think they make it 5 here tonight because they have got to be a hungry team going home. Furman relaly has not beaten anyone and rely too much on their offense a game that struggles often. You can't get pumped up beating Utah Valley State a team ranked lower in the RPI then them and has faced an opponent with a .171 win%. Yes they won by 8 points, but let's be serious here.

Elon has also played better offensively and defensively over their last 5 to Furman and they have had a stronger schedule in doing so. Furman is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and Elon is 10-2 in their last 12 vs. a team with a straight up winning record. They should be up for this game and if you take out their two struggles this year when they scored 31 and 46 this team is averaging 71.5 ppg. I don't think Furman who struggles to shoot many times can keep up.
