*4-Dime NCAAB POD + 3-Dime Late Night Fix Bonus on ESPN!
Two plays tonight as I try to rebound from last night's 1-1 ATS NCAAB record. We lost big on Davidson as it's hard to predict a team to shoot 29.5% at home in their biggest game of the year, but that's what happened. We moved past that with a cover on Missouri last night and tonight we come back with two plays both featured on ESPN tonight the first one starting at 9pm and the second one at 11pm. Don't miss out on this two play package guaranteed to go 2-0 or 1 Day all sports FREE!
Marquete -6 (4-Dime Play)
This is an easy play for me as I still believe Marquette is under rated while Pitt is over rated. For one Pitt is coming off a huge emotional win from Friday night which was their last game where they really got lucky and it was more of West Virginia crumbling at the end of the game. Marquette has lost two tough conference games by a total of 4 points to arguably the best conference team in Nova so I believe they are for real especially at home. This is a bad match up for the Panthers.
Time and time again West Virginia got open looks from the perimeter that they could not knock down as they went just 7-21. Marquette is shooting 43.4% in conference play from the perimeter and Pitt is allowing 36.7% in their last 5 games. I expect this to be the difference and if Marquette hits the shots like they are capable they will cruise to an easy cover. Yes Pitt is a more physical team on a neutral court but them being ranked here does not do them justice. They are supposed to be the better team and the public has gone to them yet Marquette opened at -5.5 and moved to 6 and 6.5 favorites.
That's because Marquette at home is a beast going 12-2 and outscoring opponents by 19.9ppg. They play hands down better at home than they do in any other situation it's a little weird when you look at the stats. They will have their problems with Pitt, but ultimately I think they will get tons of open looks and their defense which is much better at home will take care of the rest. Pitt has already lost on the road to West Virginia by 19, South Florida by 9 and Seton Hall by 3 as they are 3-3. Their win @ Syracuse was a fluke as they were unreal from the perimeter and Marquette defends well giving up just 31.6%!
St. Marys -7 (3-Dime LNF)
This game won't start until 11pm which is why it's our Late Night Fix. It can be seen on ESPN2. St. Mary's is coming off an emotional loss you would think they might not get up for this game, but they have to as they have lost two in a row and one more loss and they won't have any chance for the NCAA tournament. I believe they rebound here against a team that is the worst of the conference. St. Mary's lost to Gonzaga twice and then to Portland in OT so it's not like they lost to cupcakes. They are 7-2 on the road this year and are out scoring opponents by +6.3ppg. They just out match this San Diego team that struggles to defend the perimeter giving up 39.5% from three at home. San Diego also can't shoot their FTs shooting just 66.1% in league games. Despite their losses in conference to the top two teams St. Mary's is 4-0 on the road in conference play winning by an average of 16 points. That's two four teams who are all above San Diego in the standings including Santa Clara who St. Mary's beat by the lowest amount of 8 points. Santa Clara marched into San Diego and got a 16 point win. Can San Diego cover this game? Of course they can in betting nothing is a given. They played tough against Zaga and Portland losing by 18 and 9, but this St. Mary's team is going to come with a new intensity and I believe this is a great match up for what they do best against what San Diego does worst.
