Don't miss out on tonight's POD as most of you probably pushed last night I took a loss but we look to bounce back with a big win tonight in the MAC Championship. We are the #1 NCAAF handicapper in the nation right now and we intend to continue that trend. Tonight's play is guaranteed backed by a full in depth analysis.

Ohio +3.5 (4.4* NCAAF POD)
Just 29% of the public is on the Ohio Bobcats in the MAC Championship game, but I like them to cover and probably win out right. Toledo was the last balanced offense that Northern Illinois faced and they gave up 60 points to them. Ohio will force this game into a slower paced game and Northern Illinois defense which I will admit is under rated was just not the same away from home. They’re ranked 91st in total defense for a reason. Central Michigan put up 41 points on them that should tell you what you need to know as Ohio is balanced on offense 18th in total yards in the nation 41st in passing and 20th running the ball.

Don’t forget Northern Illinois was playing in this game last year as 17 point dogs and they lost to Miami Ohio. Ohio may not be a sexy play, but neither was Miami Ohio and Ohio is just better than that team they can also play defense as they held opponents to 39% 3rd down conversions while they themselves converted a MAC’s best 49.4% and even more impressively 53.85% on the road. Northern Illinois was also impressive 47.59% overall, but on the road just 41%. Their defense on 3rd down even worse on the road allowing opponents to convert 51% of the time. Northern Illinois best shot here is to force turnovers and get into the backfield, but Ohio doesn’t turn the ball over just 5 in their last 4 games and Northern Illinois has just 5 sacks in 6 road games.

Ohio should be well prepared for the zone read run offense Northern Illinois brings to the table. I expect them to be well prepared especially since multiple teams run that offense out of the MAC and Ohio allowed 3.21 yards per carry on the road. Northern Illinois 4.87 ypc allowed on defense and that could give them issues as Ohio too runs that same style offense behind Tyler Tettleton who has impressive numbers. Northern Illinois is 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 after scoring less than 20 points as Eastern Mich’s defense caught onto the explosive offense. The dog is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. It’s finally time for Ohio to get a post season win and it will be their first.
