3-Dime Early Bird Special -64% Career on EB in MLB includes

Postby Pick Bot » Wed Apr 14, 2010 1:15 pm

My run came to an end last night despite a brilliant performance by Brett Anderson as the A's feel 3-0. We are 6-4 on MLB POD's and that play will come later. We are still 11-1 in our last 12 overall MLB plays and today we have another Early Bird Special (10-6 this year, 25-14 dating back to last year!) This play is just $12 and a cheap way to play for Free on Thursday if it loses.

Red Sox -125 @5DIMES (3-dIME play)
I love the Sox today especially since the buzz of the Twins new stadium is now gone. Or at least I feel like it will be and a great spot for the Twins to lay down. Red Sox have an ace going today that's their third starter in John Lackey and the Twins have struggled against him with a team average of just .218 over 174 AB, a healthy sample. He went 7.2 IP giving up 4H and 2 ER in 1 start vs. them last year and has an ERA of 1.91 over his last three starts vs. the Twins. More importantly was his ability to pitching during the day last year. A 2.11 ERA during day starts compared to his 4.71 night ERA. The Sox are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings and 14-3 in their last 17 with TSchida behind the plate. Add in that they are 44-18 in their last 62 following an off day and we have a nice feeling.

Twins send Slowey to the mound and he had a 4.78 home ERA which was the indoor park. This could be totally different for Slowey. However, during day starts he had a 5.91 ERA and Boston has a .355 average in 76 AB. He will give up the hits the Sox have to take advantage when runners are in scoring position. If this gets to the bullpen the Twins have the advantage as the Sox pen has struggled early in the season. Twins struggle vs. the AL East and they are just 2-11 in Slowey's last 13 starts vs. the AL East. Red Sox continue that trend.
