Going with the under here as I don't expect Brady to play for long despite the Patriots not releasing if he is or if he isn't. Well that's fine with me I doubt they test Brady out long at all which will lead to the backups coming in and it shouldn't be pretty. The Patriots need to establish a backup QB and that will be the main focus of the pre-season. I'm sure Brady will come in and want to score a TD and then he'll leave, but that will lead to second year pro Kevin O'connell and rookie Brian Hoyer out of Michigan State. I'm not worried about the Eagles being able to stop the two. Add that with the fact that Bellichick has a tendency to not be so aggressive and more defense minded in game 1 of the pre season makes it a pretty good bet on the under here.

The Patriots are under 5-1 in their last 6 pre season game 1 games while the Eagles are very similar scoring just 23 points in their last 3 opening games of the preseason in the last 3 years. McNabb has more weapons this year and is expected to play into the 2nd half, but I expect the Patriots to have a strategy for this. After that the reigns go over to A.J. Feely who knows the offense, but is really the 3rd QB on this roster. Take the Under!
