This is our highest juice on a POD in quite some time, but I really like the match up here and the other plays were not worthy of my criteria for the POD. We lost yesterday because Cahill threw another solid outing vs the Angels I honestly did not see it going down that way I figured Santanna would throw the game he did and if a pitcher for LA gives up 2 runs usually you'd hit on that game.

Tonight we go with the Brewers and it is scary to say that we are backing Manny Parra here tonight, but I honestly feel good about it, because the Pirates have not proven they can hit LHP all year long especially on the road where they are scoring 2.99 runs per 9 innings with a .243 average. Parra's weaknesses of giving up HR/BB fit right in with the Pirates weaknesses so hopefully he can find himself here at home. Pirates are #26 in BB taken and they are #28 in HR, but had 2 against him in Pittsburgh as D. Young and Milledge got their 6th and 1st HR of the year. I don't see that happening here tonight and Parra still threw a solid game 6IP 3 ER. I expect him to be better here at home. The Pirates are just 4-10 in their last 14 vs. LH starter. They are 0-8 when Zach Duke takes the mound for them on the road against the Brewers.

Duke has been solid, but he'll face a Brewers lineup that collectively has a .328 average against him. Brewers vs. LHP are hitting .391 and scoring 9.30 Runs per 9 innings in their last 10 games. At home the Brewers are scoring 1.04 more runs per 9 innings vs. LHP than they are against RHP. This will be Dukes most challenging road spot in quite a while he's faced some weak hitting teams as of late on the road in the Cubs, Diamondbacks, and Giants.
