Take the Under 7.5 runs between these two with a pitching match up of Oswalt vs. Harden. Both starters look to be at their best right now despite having injury problems this year. I have been more impressed with Harden and how he has been able to go deep into the games as of late which has always been his issue.

Harden has been the best pitcher since the All Star game with a 3-1 record and a 1.80 ERA. He has unhittable stuff at times and should continue pitching well. What has gotten Harden in trouble this year has been his day starts, because if we count only his night starts which he will be making here tonight he has a 6-2 record with a 2.27 ERA. Unfortunately the Cubs play lots of day games which is probably why his home ERA is a little rough. However in his last 3 home starts he has a 2-1 record with a 2.37 ERA in 19 innings with 19K's. He will face the Astros who are struggling to put up runs against any pitcher but against RHP they have an average of .233 and are scoring just 3.24 runs per nine innings in their last 10. Luckily they will be throwing Roy Oswalt out there.

Oswalt also has pitched considerably better at night with a 3.49 ERA this year. He is just starting to get his strength back in my opinion and should make a great start here today and it looks like Vegas agrees as the line has moved from -160 at open in favor of the Cubs with 76% of the public on the Cubs to -150 Cubs and will continue to move in that direction because I think Vegas knows Oswalt will make a quality start here and same goes for Harden making it a very close game in the end.

Both of these bullpens are rested and pitching well so I expect the game to go under the total as the Astros are under 10-2 in their last 12 games overall and 10-4 in Oswalt's last 14 as an underdog. While the Cubs are under 20-6 in their last 26 where the total is 7-8.5 runs and they are under 9-4-2 with Harden on the mound in their last 15 vs. a losing team. Soriano will also be out of the lineup making the Cubs lineup waker and the under is 35-16-2 in the last 53 meetings between these two teams.
