Shocker of the NCAA OPENING WEEKEND; 5 units

Western Michigan +11.5 5 units; This team is going to be dangerous throughout the year in the MAC. They return seven starters back on offense that ranked 28th in the NATION in points. They have the gun slinger in senior qb Hiller back, who should set numerous school records this year. He is a senior with a lot to prove this year and what better way then in the BIG HOUSE on opening day. They will score points against a Michigan defense, which lost its coordinator and now has a new one. Western Michigan on the other side of the ball will have a lot to prove and is unproven, but time will tell how they do and I look for these young players to step up to the challenge on opening day. On special teams, you have the best in the MAC at punting and fg kicking I believe. Armer averaged 41 a game on punts and Potter was 11 for 15 last year. Michigan on the other hand is unproven on offense with 3 qbs expected to get time, so it tells me he still has no one of certain that can run his spread offense. Their d should be better, but changing schemes will be some getting used to. On special teams, Michigan might have the best punter in the nation in Mesko, but their kicking game will be suspect. I like the fact that there is question marks on both sides and the line opened a 13, but has been bet down to 11.5, but the public money flooding in on Michigan tells me this has the making of a possible upset. Take the points here as Western Michigan loses this one by less than a td and has a chance at the outright upset.
