This defense is among the elite in the country. They rank in the top 10 in total defense, pass defense, run defense, and points allowed. This defense is super fast and have proved it playing against top 5 LSU earlier this year. They know this is a must win for their chances of a Big East champion and this team overall is just a better team and getting 3 points is the bonus. Geno Smith is what makes this offense turn and we will need a subpar game from him with some run help to get Smith’s confidence going. Pitt knows they must win this game to continue to control their own destiny, but I just have zero confidence in this Pitt offense. Sunseri scares me when he drops back and I do not like what I see out of him. I believe this will be a defensive struggle but I will take the Mounties to win this monster game.
