4.95 UNIT LATE NIGHT PITCHING MISMATCH***15-4 on year***
Last night we nailed 2 pitching mismatches to push us to 15-4 on these rare plays. We come back with another tonight and it is a big one with a write up entailing the play. Do not miss out as look to push to 80% on the season tonight.
Kansas City -104 for 4.95 units at Betjam; Regardless if Grienke would have faced Bedard or Rowland Smith this would have been a complete mismatch. If Bedard would have came back he would only of lasted 4 to 5 innings tops, while Grienke will give us 7 innings at least. In 7 games in his career against Seattle he is 3-0 with a era under 2. He has only allowed 11 earned runs in 53 innings pitched allowing only 41 hits. Figgins, Gutierrez, Kotchman, Lopez, and Wilson are a combined 3 for 63 against him, which is a .048 average. Ichiro is the only Mariner with success off him going 7 for 19.
Even though Greinke is only 4-8 on the season his era is still in the upper 3's. He is 2-0 his last 3 starts pitching an average of 7 1/3 in each of the 3 starts. with era in 3's. It would be well below that if he didnt give up a fluke inning against the Sox allowing 5 runs in the 8th. He was up 7-1 and gave those 5 runs on straight hits, then settled down and retired the 8th inning before Soria closed it out.
Rowland Smith has been much better at home, but only gives you around 5 innings of work, which means the Seattle pen. We saw what can happen last night with that as they blew one for King Felix. Kansas City leads the MLB in hitting and I believe you will see a lopsided game here as Grienke and company continue to roll and make it 9 of 12 wins.
