These plays were money all year and we come right out the gate with one and it is one we have been eyeing all summer. These plays were 19-7-2 and it was rare we ever played more than one during a week. One thing I love about opening week and that is the lines are wrong. Do not miss out with a write up.

Northern Illinois +3.5 for 5.5 units; This team returns 15 total starters and I really like the potential in this team. They have their qb back with Harnish who completed nearly 65% of his passes last year and 1000 yard running back Spann along with Harnish who rushed for close to 400. Their defense is veteran with 8 juniors and seniors. I believe this team is the best in the MAC West and believe this is a great opportunity for getting a big win on the road to start the season. Iowa St on the other hand only returns 12 starters and I believe this will be a really tough year and could easily start 0-3. Arnaud was extremely inconsistent last year throwing 14 td to 13 int and only completing 58% of his passes last year. I believe their offense will get them 14 + points, but I believe you will see Northern Illinois in the 20s. Only returning 4 starters from last year really hurts them and it will show against a smaller conference that has proven they can win on the road in big time environments. Northern Illinois beat Purdue last year at Purdue and lost by only 8 at Wisconsin, in 08 they lost at Minny by only 4 and at Tennessee by only 4. This shows they can play in big time environments and Iowa St is nothing in comparision to those environments. Take Northern Illinois as they score the big road win to start the season.
