Sports Betting – A Preview Of Thursday’s Sportsbook Action

will obviously take most of the attention on Thursday as the action on the diamond prepares for the weekend, but they’ll have to share the spotlight with golf as the game’s reigning superstar makes his return to a tournament where he has seen the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows.

MLB Baseball Betting

Blue Jays Rays Odds (12:10 PM ET): Brett Cecil has allowed two runs or less in four of his last five starts, and he’ll look to carry that momentum into Thursday’s series finale in Tampa Bay, where he and the Blue Jays will face off against a struggling Wade Davis and the Rays.

Rangers Tigers Odds (1:05 PM ET): A pair of pitchers who have lost their last two starts face off on Thursday, when Texas’ Alexi Ogando takes on Detroit’s Brad Penny in a battle of division leaders.

Cubs Pirates Odds (7:05 PM ET): Like a option fading down the stretch, the Pirates are starting to lose ground in the National League Central and they desperately need a win on Thursday, when they’ll give the ball to James MacDonald, while the Cubs counter with Rodrigo Lopez.

Indians Red Sox Odds (7:10 PM ET): Former Boston pitcher Justin Masterson faces off against his ex-club against Erik Bedard, who was a late deadline pickup by the Red Sox as they aim to bolster their World Series betting odds.

Cardinals Marlins Odds (7:10 PM ET): After sports betting players watched a testy series against Milwaukee, the Cardinals will move to Florida where they will call on Kyle Lohse, while the Marlins go with Anibal Sanchez.

Yankees White Sox Odds (8:10 PM ET): Rookie Ivan Nova will get the call for the Yankees when they head to the Windy City, while the White Sox will send Philip Humber to the hill.

Phillies Giants Odds (10:15 PM ET): These two kick off a rematch of last year’s NLCS with Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee, who battled the Giants in the World Series with Texas. San Francisco will hand the ball to Madison Bumgarner, who has been inconsistent all season and that is dangerous for the Giants’ odds.

Golf Betting

WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Odds (tee-off is 8:40 AM ET): Even though he has slipped all the way to No.28 in the golf rankings, Tiger Woods is always the story when he tees it up, especially if it’s his first event in three months at a tournament he has won seven times, but he shot a career-worst score at Firestone in Ohio last year. Woods will go off with British Open champion Darren Clarke at 1:40 PM ET, and there are plenty of other groups to watch here (only 75 players in the field), so it should be an exciting weekend in your book.
