Sports Betting – A Look At Thursday’s Slate

This is no ; we’re here to lay out your wagering ticket for you and on Thursday, there are a few events worth taking a look at as the World Series is in play, an intriguing college football matchup out in the Pac-12, and a few matchups to check out in the NHL.

World Series Betting

Rangers Cardinals Odds (8:05 PM ET): Look for St. Louis to be favored at home in Game 2 of the Fall Classic, although a would probably tell you that the line won’t be heavily in their favor. Jaime Garcia will get the ball for the Cardinals, while Texas counters with Colby Lewis in what will likely be a chilly night in Missouri.

College Football Betting

UCLA Arizona Odds (9:00 PM ET): The reeling Wildcats have lost five in a row and fired head coach Mike Stoops, but they’re still 4-point favorites at home against the Bruins, who have been alternating between wins and losses all season. A loss will likely take UCLA out of the college football betting running in the Pac-12, and they’ve lost their last three trips to Tuscon. The Wildcats will be out to get on track as they need to win five of their last six to become bowl-eligible.

NHL Betting

Maple Leafs Bruins Odds (7:00 PM ET): The Bruins should be the favorites at home against Toronto, who will play on Wednesday night, so you have to factor in the “back-to-back” aspect of this match. Even though the flight from Toronto to Boston isn’t long, it’s still traveling and the Bruins need a home win.

Capitals Flyers Odds (7:00 PM ET): Both teams are off to a flying start, but you should expect Philadelphia to be slight favorites at home. These two figure to be in the running to represent the Eastern Conference in the Stanley Cup finals, so this will be a solid gauge of how they stack up.

Canadiens Penguins Odds (7:00 PM ET): The Penguins should be the home favorites here against a Montreal team that has dropped three in a row, although their lone win of 2011 has come on the road.

Rangers Flames Odds (9:30 PM ET): The Flames should be favored in this clash of last-place teams, and both desperately need something to jumpstart their season. Calgary beat their provincial rivals from Edmonton on Tuesday, and they’ll aim to build on that.

Kings Coyotes Odds (10:00 PM ET): Finally, the Coyotes should be the home favorites against the Kings, who have won two in a row, but they’re still without the injured Drew Doughty, who is a major factor in their odds this season.
