Sports Betting – Taking A Look At Thursday’s Slate

The have a tasty conference encounter on the menu on Thursday, and that is just one of many possible wagering options as players are looking to kill time until Super Bowl Sunday. Don’t worry: Thursday is loaded with betting opportunities.

NBA Betting

Bulls Knicks Odds (8:00 PM ET): A review may tell you that reigning MVP Derrick Rose has averaged 25.5 points in his last two trips to Madison Square Garden, and the Knicks are in freefall, losing nine of their last 11.

Nuggets Clippers Odds (10:30 PM ET): Meanwhile, Denver has been doing quite well since shipping Carmelo Anthony off to New York, but on Thursday in the second half of the TNT doubleheader, they’ll take on Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and hometown native Chauncey Billups, who dropped 32 on his former team last Sunday.

NHL Odds

Red Wings Canucks Odds (10:00 PM ET): Vancouver hosts Detroit in their third meeting of the season, and players that work with price services should check this out as both teams are in the running to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup finals.

Stars Sharks Odds (10:30 PM ET): San Jose has always fallen short of the finals, but they’re always a good regular-season team and they’ll host Dallas, who are fighting to stay afloat in the extremely tough West.

College Basketball Betting

Duke Virginia Tech Odds (7:00 PM ET): The No.7 Blue Devils should be favored on the road at Virginia Tech, where they lost last year and players will hear all about a theme of revenge in their game; it should play a role in this as well. The Hokies have a dismal ACC record, but four of their five losses have been by four points or less and the other was a solid outing at North Carolina; don’t count out a Duke blowout so fast.

Golf Odds

Waste Management Phoenix Open Odds (tee times start at 9:30 AM ET): The 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale is one of the most recognizable in the world of golf with its amphitheater and incredible atmosphere, which mostly consists of drunken students who cheer your good shots and boo your bad ones, which can make for a long walk from the tee on this par-3. Mark Wilson won this event last year, and to defend his title he’ll have to hold off the likes of Brandt Snedeker, who won last week because of Kyle Stanley’s collapse on the 18th pole; both will be in the field, but the threesome that everyone will be watching is Phil Mickelson (an alumnus of nearby Arizona State and a two-time winner here), Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler. This trio tees off at 10:06 AM ET, and all are worthy of a pick.
