I really like the pitching match up despite the Giants never facing Latos. It should be a low scoring game, but Latos has struggled early this year for the Padres in 10.2 IP he has a 5.79 ERA. He is backed by a superb bullpen with a 3.43 ERA, but I see Latos going 5 or 6 innings making the task a little more challenging. The Giants are hitting .243 vs. RHP, but are scoring 5.46 R/9 and they are doing it with patience as they average 2.5 walks per game vs. RHP. Giants are 6-1 in their last 7 vs. RH starter, and 16-5 in their last 21. They also send a pitcher who no hit them a year ago.

Johnathan Sanchez will make his start and in 6 career starts he has a 2.68 ERA 18 hits allowed in 37 IP. Sanchez is coming off a career high 11 strike outs in his last game and is backed by 3.05 bullpen ERA. I expect a big performance out of him. The Padres are hitting just .222 vs. LHP this year and are 0-4 vs. LH starter in their last 4. Road team (Giants) are actually 15-5 in their last 20 with Knight behind the plate.
