We will go with the Cubs today to continue their hot streak. Cubs finally made their way to 1st place on Sunday. I did write a little while back that Wandy Rodriguez is turning into an ace now that he has figured out how to pitch on the road (3.43 ERA this year). However, in his last 4 starts @ Chicago he has a 8.95ERA over 18 innings. The Cubs own a .274 average vs. Rodriguez and they are hitting .352 in their last 5 games vs. LHP including 8.53 R/9.

Cubs send their own ace to the mound where they are 10-3 in Game 1's when Zambrano takes the mound. In his last 4 at home vs. the Astros he has a 1.71ERA and the Astros overall vs. the Cubs have a .219 average. They are left again without Berkman who is now on the DL so you'd expect them to start to struggle as they lost 2 of 3 to the Mets over the weekend. Zambrano is on a rebound game here as he gave up 4ER in his last outing which usually results in him having a dominant pitching performance. The Astros are 7-19 in Wandy's Last 26 road games vs. a winning team which is what the Cubs are now!
