| MLB | May 19, 2013 Toronto: R Dickey vs. New York (A): C Sabathia |
Total 8 un+103 at 5DIMES |
started |
Free Play The Yankees can sweep the Blue Jays with a win on Sunday afternoon. RA Dickey has bounced back after a rough start against the Mariners on May 4th. Dickey has allowed just 5 runs and 11 hits against the Rays and Giants while striking out 15 over that span. The knuckleballer lost 3-2 to the Yankees on April 28th after giving up 3 runs and four hits in seven innings. Robinson Cano (3-13), Curtis Granderson (3-16), Travis Hafner (3-12), Lyle Overbay (3-17) and Ichiro (2-13) all have had their problems with Toronto's starter. The Yankees are winning, but not with their offense. They are hitting right around .238 in their last eight games while going Under the total in 9 of their last 13 games overall. CC Sabathia is 4-3 with a 3.19 ERA and five Unders in nine starts. He beat the Blue Jays on April 27th after giving up 4 runs and nine hits in eight innings. Overall, the lefty is 14-4 with a 3.00 ERA in 19 career starts against Toronto. JP Arencibia (2-20), Jose Bautista (2-23), Emilio Bonifacio (1-7), Rajai Davis (7-40), Edwin Encarnacion (9-36) and Colby Rasmus (0-6) have poor numbers against the Yankees starter. Toronto has managed just 2 runs so far in this series and outside of an offensive outburst of 33 runs in three games last week, they haven't done much of anything else. New York's bullpen has yet to blow a save at home and they are 18-for-20 overall. We expect a low-scoring game between the Blue Jays and Yankees on Sunday afternoon. |

MLB | May 19, 2013 Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers |
Texas Rangers -115 at SIA |
Won $100 |
|
Sunday Night Baseball features the Rangers and the Tigers in Arlington. Derek Holland has not minded pitching at home giving up just 4 runs in 23 innings there. Holland has had great control, especially as of late striking out 20 while walking only two in his last three starts. Holland has four no-decisions in four career games against the Tigers. Last year he gave up 1 run and three hits in just over seven innings of work against Detroit. Miguel Cabrera (0-5) and Prince Fielder (0-3) don't have any hits against the Rangers starter. Detroit is hitting right around .240 in their last eight games and theyve struggled as a team on the road. The Rangers bullpen has been incredible with an ERA under 2.00 at home on the year. Doug Fister is 5-1 with a 3.06 ERA. He has allowed 10 runs and 22 hits in his last three starts although two of those came against lowly Houston. Last year, Fister got shelled in Arlington allowing 9 runs and nine hits in just over four innings. Adrian Beltre (6-14), Nelson Cruz (7-16) and David Murphy (8-18) hit Fister hard. The Rangers are hitting over .280 in their last eight games and they are clicking as a lineup. Texas has won the majority of their games at home against the Tigers over the past three seasons, and we expect them to notch another win on Sunday Night. 9* Play RANGERS (-) (action). |

MLB | May 19, 2013 Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals |
St. Louis Cardinals -114 at 5DIMES |
Won $100 |
|
John Gast makes his second career Major League start on Sunday afternoon as the Cardinals host the Brewers. Gast threw five scoreless innings before allowing 4 runs in his first outing. He still managed to get the win striking out three while walking only one. Milwaukee is 4-12 against left-handed starters while scoring just 3.5 runs per game in those contests. The Brewers had faced four straight southpaws before Saturday losing all four of those games. Kyle Lohse is 1-4 with a 3.49 ERA in eight starts for the Brew Crew. This is his third game against the Cardinals, losing the first two of them. He allowed 6 runs and 17 hits over 12 innings striking out five while walking only one. The Cardinals lineup is hitting almost .290 in their last eight games and they are 10-7 in the daytime. Milwaukee's bullpen has a losing record and multiple blown saves so no lead is safe with them. We expect St. Louis to get a solid home win in this game on Sunday afternoon. 9* Play CARDINALS (-) (action). |

NBA | May 19, 2013 Memphis Grizzlies vs. San Antonio Spurs |
Memphis Grizzlies +5-109 at 5DIMES |
Lost $109.0 |
|
Memphis lost their first two games of the playoffs in Games 1 and 2 of their series with the Los Angeles Clippers. Since those losses, the Grizzlies have been phenomenal. Memphis is an outstanding 8-1 SU and a perfect 9-0 ATS in their last nine playoff games and this team has shown no signs of slowing down. The Grizzlies are playing outstanding defense as theyve allowed more than 93 points just twice over those nine games while allowing an average of 90.1 points per game. Over their last five games, Memphis is allowing only 89.6 points per game on 39.9% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from three-point land. Memphis also has an extra day of rest coming into todays game after they beat Oklahoma City in five games while the Spurs needed six games to eliminate the Warriors. San Antonio is an older team, and their last series went longer than expected. The Spurs also had to travel back and forth to California which certainly wasnt a welcomed thing for them to do. The Spurs should have dominated the mediocre Warriors more than they did, and since they didnt, we see that as a negative. San Antonio also had trouble with Memphis during the regular season as the Spurs went 2-2 against the Grizzlies with one of those wins coming by just 4 points in overtime on their home court. San Antonio is also taking a big step-up in class in this series against Memphis; they played the wounded Lakers and not so good Warriors in the last two rounds. Well take the points with the strong defensive underdog in this game on Sunday afternoon. 10* Play GRIZZLIES (+). |
