The Braves will be trying to win their first series in a long time here at home vs. the Yankees tonight. They'll send Lowe to the mound who has struggled in his last three starts here.

Lowe has not faced the Yankees since winning Game 7 of the 2004 NLCS! He is coming off a decent performance in his last start against Boston going 6.1IP giving up 3ER. Lowe is 3-1 in 7GS at home with a 3.27 ERA. He has also pitched considerably better during night play with a 3.58ERA. Looking at his numbers at home he has pitched 5 straight quality starts. He had two rough starts in the beginning of the season at home for the Braves, but seems to have gotten used to the mound. He has a 2.75ERA over 36IP in his last 5 home starts. He'll face a Yankees team that has struggled vs. RHP. Last 5 they have hit .206 and scored just 3.03 R/9. The problems go back further with a .222avg last 10 and 3.08 R/9. The Yankees are just 1-7 in their last 8 road games vs. a RHP and a good one to boot here tonight!

Pettitte will take the mound for the Yankees trying to build off a solid performance vs. the Marlins last time out, but I think he may have a little trouble here in Atlanta. First off Atlanta is tired of losing series and they want this one badly. Which of course does not mean they'll win it, but it does mean that they can expect a little extra effort from their pitcher. Pettitte has had solid numbers vs. Atlanta but some new and old faces have solid numbers vs. LHP. Including Chipper Jones 7-19 .368average and new Brave Garrett Anderson 32-80 3HR .400 average. Franceour and McCann chip in with 4 hits in 10 total at bats. Braves have seen the ball well coming out of south paws as of late hitting .273 L5 games and scoring 7.27 R/9. I really like this match up and think we get a lot of value here with the public loving the Yankees.

My source of 42 sportsbooks has 80% of the money on the Yankees yet the line is not moving towards the Yankees it is moving towards Atlanta.

Worth mentioning:
Bill Welke the umpire behind the plate loves giving the game to the home team or it may just be coincidence either way this is worth mentioning in my opinion. In his last 43 games behind home plate the home team has won 30 of those. In his last 9 games behind home plate vs. NYY the home team is 9-0!

Take the Braves @ -114 for our 4DIME POD
