We are on quite the roll in and includes our POD loss last week where the Twins held 1-0 lead and had 2 outs in the 9th to blow the game. We are 10-2 in our last 12 MLB POD’s with another victory Sunday and continue to be successful on our free pick articles. Yesterday we started our college football previews starting with the . Today we break down the hot and cold starters and we have six hot starters and just four cold starters out of a possible 24 pitchers going today.


Pirates -108 (1* FREE PLAY) Just who are the Pirates they keep winning and James McDonald is one reason why as he’s 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in his last three starts and he faces a Reds team that he dominated last time out giving up just 1 ER over 6.2 innings pitched. McDonald does not need to go deep with the Pirates bullpen success this year as they have a 2.62 ERA at home which is a major advantage in this match up compared to the Reds 3.95 ERA. McDonald has been solid at home posting a 3.18 ERA this year and he’ll go up against a huge question mark in Dontrelle Willis who continues to try to get back to the majors. The Pirates are 11-4 in their last 15 vs. a LH starter.

Pittsburgh has been hitting over their last 10 games they are scoring over 5 runs per game while the Reds are under 4 runs per game with a higher ERA out of the bullpen. So right now based on the way the teams are playing the Pirates have the advantage in hitting, bullpen, and starter as I still need to see more from Willis who despite giving up just 2 ER vs. the Brewers really struggled with location which has been his problem for years. Reds are just 4-18 in their last 22 following a win, and 16-35 in their last 51 road games vs. a team with a winning record. Bottom line they are not a good road team right now and I like our chances with the Pirates on Monday!
