Sports Betting – Taking A Look at Saturday’s Slate

After on Friday night, sports betting fans can wake up on Saturday and get right back into the game as a host of soccer betting from Germany and Argentina will carry into the afternoon, while there are five baseball betting matchups to check out, and the NASCAR Sprint Cup series holds its first race in Kentucky.

MLB Betting

Rays Yankees Odds (1:05 PM ET): These American League East rivals square off in the Bronx as Tampa Bay’s David Price will get the call for the Rays, while the Yankees counter with A.J. Burnett. This could be a pitcher’s duel or a shootout.

Braves Phillies Odds (4:10 PM ET): This should be a low-scoring matchup as the Braves trot out Tommy Hanson, one of the biggest All-Star snubs, while the Phillies give the ball to Cliff Lee, who will be in Arizona next week.

Reds Brewers Odds (7:10 PM ET): In a National League Central affair, the Reds will go with Johnny Cueto, while Milwaukee sends out Shaun Marcum, who hit a grand slam in his last start against Arizona.

Mariners Angels Odds (9:05 PM ET): Another pair of division rivals go at it, this time from the American League West as the Angels give the call to Joel Pineiro, while the Mariners counter with youngster Michael Pineda, who has been lighting up the league in his first season.

Mets Giants Odds (9:05 PM ET): Finally, two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum gets the ball for the Giants, while the Mets go with Chris Capuano.

Soccer Betting

England France Odds (12:00 PM ET): France is a -165 favorite over England as the knockout portion of the women’s World Cup begins in Germany.

Germany Japan Odds (2:45 PM ET): The host team from Germany is a massive -1000 favorite to advance as well.

Brazil Paraguay Odds (3:00 PM ET): In Copa America action in Argentina, the defending champions from Brazil are listed at -165 to take down Paraguay in a Group B encounter.

Venezuela Ecuador Odds (5:30 PM ET): In the other Group B match, Ecuador is rated at +150 as sports betting lines are forecasting a close match between these two sides.

NASCAR Betting

Kentucky Odds (7:30 PM ET): The Sprint Cup series head to Kentucky Speedway for the first time for the Quaker State 400, and you can expect the usual suspects to run up front. Some drivers like Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and points leader Kevin Harvick have won here in the Nationwide Series, but Kentucky is similar to the other 1.5-mile tracks you’ll find on the Cup circuit and drivers test there as well, so this will be a tough call for players to make.
