Instead of looking at the and getting bummed out about the lockout, check out some sports betting matchups on Saturday that are worth a wager. Your ticket will be heavy on baseball, but there is also a massive MMA fight between a pair of legends.

MLB Betting

Orioles Yankees Odds (1:05 PM ET): A doubleheader begins in the Bronx with New York’s Bartolo Colon taking on Zach Britton, who was nine when Colon began his major-league career in Cleveland.

Angels Tigers Odds (4:10 PM ET): Los Angeles’ Dan Haren rebounded from a rough start to strike out 10 in his last outing (still taking a no-decision), and he’ll try to carry over that in Detroit against the Tigers’ Duane Below.

Rays Mariners Odds (4:10 PM ET): If there is one reason to watch Seattle’s , it’s rookie hurler Michael Pineda, although the All-Star has been knocked around in his last three outings. He’ll lead the Mariners out at home against fellow rookie Alex Cobb and the Rays.

Cubs Cardinals Odds (4:10 PM ET): A pair of National League Central rivals clash in St. Louis as the Cardinals’ Kyle Lohse will square off against the Cubs’ Rodrigo Lopez. Both veterans have pitched surprisingly well this year, but anything can happen when these two meet.

Pirates Phillies Odds (7:05 PM ET): Two state rivals meet in Philadelphia in what could be the sports betting matchup of the day on the mound, as the Phillies’ Cliff Lee takes on the Pirates’ James McDonald, who hasn’t allowed a run in two starts.

Red Sox White Sox Odds (7:10 PM ET): Boston’s Jon Lester is making his second start coming off an injury, and he’ll lead Boston out in Chicago against the White Sox’s Philip Humber.

Giants Reds Odds (7:10 PM ET): Two young pitchers who have picked up their games meet in Cincinnati for an contest when San Francisco’s Madison Bumgarner goes up against the Reds’ Mike Leake.

Rockies Padres Odds (8:35 PM ET): Finally, until the trade deadline passes on Sunday, there will be speculation about Colorado’s Ubaldo Jimenez, who gets the ball against San Diego’s Aaron Harang.

MMA Betting

Fedor Henderson Odds (9:00 PM ET): Fedor Emelianenko was long considered the world’s top MMA fighter, but two straight losses, including one brutal beating at the hands of Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, has taken away that title. Fedor will get back into the cage at a Strikeforce event in Illinois against light-heavyweight champion Dan Henderson, who is fighting at heavyweight for the first time at 40. Still, don’t expect Henderson to look much different as Fedor isn’t a big heavyweight either, and this should be the hottest ticket in your book on Saturday.
