Sports Betting – Taking A Look At Saturday’s Wagering Slate

Saturday may look like a day, but you’ll still have time to get your sports betting picks for the day, and it’s a full schedule as you can wager on everything from baseball to college, along with some boxing and UFC betting.

MLB Betting

Rays Red Sox Odds (4:10 PM ET): In the third of a four-game series that will have a big impact on the American League wild-card race (as well as odds), Tampa Bay will give the ball to Jeff Niemann at Fenway Park, while the Red Sox counter with Jon Lester.

Marlins Nationals Odds (7:05 PM ET): fans and betting players alike have to check out this matchup, for one reason: Washington’s Stephen Strasburg. The former No.1 pick has been brought along slowly in his return from Tommy John surgery, but it’s so far, so good. Florida will give the ball to Chris Volstad.

Cardinals Phillies Odds (7:05 PM ET): Philadelphia’s Roy Oswalt is looking for some confidence heading into the postseason, and he’ll get a familiar rival in the Cardinals from his time with Houston. St. Louis will go with Jake Westbrook.

NCAA Football Betting

Auburn Clemson Odds (12:00 PM ET): No.21 Auburn is a 3-point underdog on the road at Clemson, and Auburn is coming off a couple of close losses at home, so there isn’t much faith in them when they have to leave Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Ohio State Miami Odds (7:30 PM ET): The Hurricanes are 2.5-point favorites at home against the No.17 Buckeyes, who beat Miami 36-24 last year in Columbus at the Horseshoe.

Oklahoma Florida State Odds (8:00 PM ET): The top-ranked Sooners are 3-point favorites in Tallahassee against the No.5 Seminoles, who will be out to avenge a 47-17 rout in Norman in 2010.

Boxing Betting

Mayweather Ortiz Odds (10:00 PM ET): The undefeated Floyd Mayweather will be out to add another world title to his resume when he takes on WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz as a -700 favorite. A win would give Mayweather his 11th title, but it would also increase the demand for a Manny Pacquiao superfight that the entire sports world is waiting for.

UFC Betting

Shields Ellenberger Odds (9:00 PM ET): This welterweight clash highlights a UFC Live card, and in this battle of the Jakes, Shields is a -180 favorite, but he comes into this fight with a full plate as his father and trainer recently passed. He has decided to push on and fight in his father’s honor, but he faces a dangerous opponent in Ellenberger, who can wrestle with Shields, but he has heavy hands that could end up netting him an upset at your .
