Sports Betting – A Look At Saturday’s Betting Schedule

Postby Freddy Wills » Thu Jun 14, 2012 5:35 pm

Some of Saturday’s betting slate may leave out a few matchups for Moving Day at the U.S. Open, so check your sportsbook for those, but the final round of group-stage matches at the European Championships will kick off, along with some interleague baseball action.

Euro 2012 Betting

Czech Republic Poland Odds (2:45 PM ET): Both teams have everything to play for as the co-hosts from Poland sit on two points, one point behind the Czechs and those who are going to be using software will expect an open game, especially from Poland.

Greece Russia Odds (2:45 PM ET): Russia leads Group A with four points and have played some entertaining soccer, and online Euro 2012 betting ( for more lines and odds) players would figure them to go through against a Greek team that has a single point and a slight chance of being able to get out of the group stage, although they would need a lot to go their way, not only in this match, but in the Czech Republic-Poland match as well.

MLB Odds

Yankees Nationals Odds (1:05 PM ET): The day kicks off on the baseball diamond with veteran Andy Pettitte leading the Yankees out in the nation’s capital against Washington and Jordan Zimmerman. Pettitte celebrates his 40th birthday on Friday, and he’ll be hoping to unwrap a birthday gift in the form of a shutout performance against the Nationals.

Phillies Blue Jays Odds (1:07 PM ET): The pitching matchup of the day should come from Toronto, where the Blue Jays’ Ricky Romero will take on the Phillies’ Cliff Lee, who is still looking for his first win of 2012. Lee has battled injuries and ineffectiveness, but with his pedigree, sharps have to keep their eye on the Phillies.

Red Sox Cubs Odds (7:15 PM ET): Boston’s Jon Lester will go up against Chicago’s Jeff Samardzija at Wrigley Field, which is similar to Boston’s Fenway Park in that it is a park from the golden era of baseball and it has lots of interesting quirks; some call it character, while others call it outdated.

Marlins Rays Odds (7:15 PM ET): In an all-Florida matchup, Miami’s Anibal Sanchez takes on Tampa Bay’s James Shield in a solid pitching matchup. The Marlins are right around the .500 mark, while the Rays have managed to keep their head above water in the American League East despite a number of injuries.

Giants Seahawks Odds (10:10 PM ET): San Francisco’s Tim Lincecum has been struggling to the point of a possibility of going to the bullpen, but the Giants don’t want to jump the gun with their two-time Cy Young winner just yet. The Mariners will go with Kevin Millwood, but confirm the matchup in your book.
