Sports Betting – A Look At Saturday’s Betting Schedule

A of Saturday’s activities would show it to be heavy on baseball action, although the UFC will also make its first appearance in Calgary despite a number of injuries.

MLB Betting

Braves Nationals Odds (1:05 PM ET): These National League East rivals clash in the first half of a doubleheader, and Ben Sheets will make his second start for Atlanta against Edwin Jackson and the Nationals in Washington.

Dodgers Mets Odds (1:10 PM ET): Los Angeles’ Chris Capuano will get another crack at his former team after losing to them recently, while New York counters with Miguel Batista on the other side.

Rangers Angels Odds (4:05 PM ET): Another divisional rivalry rears its head on Saturday as Texas’ Yu Darvish takes on Los Angeles’ Ervin Santana in an intriguing matchup for those that use services.

White Sox Tigers Odds (4:05 PM ET): Chicago’s Chris Sale faces off with Detroit’s Rick Porcello when these American League Central clubs meet in the Motor City.

Giants Phillies Odds (4:05 PM ET): In the best pitching matchup you may see all weekend, San Francisco’s Matt Cain, who started the All-Star Game for the National League, meets Philadelphia’s Cole Hamels, who is either going to be traded or signed to an extension in the next 11 days.

Brewers Reds Odds (7:10 PM ET): In the first of two National League Central games on this list, Yovani Gallardo gets the call for Milwaukee against Bronson Arroyo in Cincinnati.

Cubs Cardinals Odds (7:15 PM ET): Finally, Chicago’s Matt Garza has also been the subject of trade rumors and he could help a team’s odds, but on Saturday he’ll face St. Louis’ Jake Westbrook.

UFC Betting

UFC 149 Odds (main card starts at 9:00 PM ET): This card looks nothing like its original incarnation and it has been tough for players to keep up, but a main event for the interim bantamweight title featuring Urijah Faber and Renan Barao has the potential to be one of the best matches of the year. Hector Lombard will also make his UFC debut in the company’s first trip to Calgary and many feel he is the next man to challenge Anderson Silva’s reign in the 185-pound division, but he’ll take on a tough customer in Tim Boetsch. The heavyweights will also get on the card as Shawn Jordan looks to prove he belongs in the upper echelon of the division, but first he’ll have to get by Cheick Kongo. There are plenty of other enticing matchups on the preliminary card as well, so check out all your options in your online sportsbook (which you can find ).
